About Jennie

My Background

Hi, my name is Jennie. I was born in Cuba and immigrated to the US as a child with my family. My passion for psychology began during my first year of university, which led me to attend the University of Florida on a full scholarship for their School Psychology program.

Early Career

My first psychology job was working with children in the school system. Desiring more continuity of care and better results, I pursued a degree in counseling psychology. I have experience working in a domestic violence shelter, a female prison, and a child center before opening my private practice.

Artistic Journey

There is more to me than psychology. I’m also an artist who spent two years in art school in Barcelona. In my free time, I enjoy painting oils and creating sculptures. Art is a big part of my life and a vital outlet for self-expression.

Personal Passions

Beyond art, I’m an avid hiker and have explored over half of all the US national parks. I'm a certified diver who loves the ocean and enjoys traveling to discover new cultures and meet diverse people. These experiences shape my perspective and enrich my practice.

Longevity Living and Wellness

I’m a strong advocate of longevity living, believing that a longer and healthier life requires attention to physical, mental, spiritual, and relational well-being. I believe that living a life with purpose and intention is essential to achieving this balance.
